(Redwood City, CA) San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division will begin posting election results for the March 4, 2025 Special Election starting at 8:10 p.m. on election night. Election Night Results can be accessed on our website at smcvote.gov, under “Get Election Results.”
Election Night Results Release Schedule:
- 8:10 p.m.
- Includes Vote by Mail ballots received in the mail and counted by Monday, March 3, 2025.
- 9:00 p.m. and hourly thereafter
- Includes Vote Center ballots cast and counted
- Updated every hour until all such ballots received by our office have been processed and counted.
Post-Election Results Release Schedule:
emi-Official Results will be released by 4:30 p.m. on the following dates:
- Thursday, March 6, 2025
- Monday, March 10, 2025
- Wednesday, March 12, 2025
- Friday, March 14, 2025
Final Results will be certified on April 3, 2025.

Vote Center Schedule:
Two Vote Centers opened on February 3, 2025, with six more opened on February 22. On Election Day, March 4, 2025, seven additional Vote Centers will be available, bringing the total to 15 Vote Centers accessible across the county.

In-person assistance is available at the San Mateo County Elections Division office from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with extended hours from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
