(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, San Mateo County Chief Elections Officer & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder, has announced that starting today, the San Mateo County Registration & Elections Division will begin mailing the Sample Ballot & Voter Information Pamphlet to registered voters for the upcoming November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election.

"The Sample Ballot & Official Voter Information Pamphlet offers voters comprehensive information on candidates, measures, and available voter services for the upcoming November 5, 2024, Presidential General Election," stated Church. "The pamphlet will be sent to all registered voters in the language they specified during voter registration.”

Voters can access their voter pamphlet online in PDF or accessible format by visiting smcvote.gov and selecting “My Election Info.

Voters who are visually impaired can request an audio recording of the County's Sample Ballot & Official Voter Information Pamphlet by contacting the Registration & Elections Division at 888.SMC.VOTE (888.762.8683). Additionally, a screen-readable version of the pamphlet is available online at smcvote.gov and clicking “My Election Info.”

“Voters can participate in our ‘Go Green! Program’ to access their pamphlets online instead of receiving a paper copy,” added Church. To enroll, simply click the “Sign Up for Go Green!” button at smcvote.gov. Once registered, voters will no longer receive a printed pamphlet and will be notified by email when their online pamphlet is available.

Early Voting Period Begins October 7 to November 4, 2024
San Mateo County's registered voters will begin receiving their Vote by Mail ballots on October 7, 2024, in preparation for the Presidential General Election on November 5, 2024.

Three (3) Vote Centers will be open on October 7, 2024. An additional seven (7) Vote Centers will become available starting October 26. On November 2, 36 more Vote Centers will open, and another three (3) will be added on November 4, 2024. On Election Day, a total of 49 Vote Centers will be accessible throughout the county.
