(Redwood City, CA) Mark Church, Chief Elections & Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder announced today that 36 additional Vote Centers will open on Saturday, March 2, and remain open through Election Day, March 5, 2024. San Mateo County will operate 45 Vote Centers for the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. There will be at least one Vote Center in every city in the county.
Vote Center Hours:
Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, March 2 to 4
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday, March 5
7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Four Pop-up Vote Centers will be open on March 4 and March 5 in East Palo Alto, Half Moon Bay, La Honda and Pescadero.
At Vote Centers, voters have the option to utilize accessible ballot marking tablets, request replacement Vote by Mail ballots, and receive multilingual assistance. County residents who meet the eligibility requirements may both register and cast their votes on the same day at any of the Vote Centers.
On February 5, Vote by Mail ballots were mailed to all registered voters. Voted ballots can be returned by mail using the postage-paid envelope provided, deposited into an Official Ballot Drop Box, or returned at any Vote Center. Among the 56 Drop Box locations, 42 are accessible 24/7; ten of these are drive-up boxes. For a complete list of Vote Center and Drop Box locations, please visit smcvote.gov.
Voters are encouraged to go to smcvote.gov and sign up for automated alerts regarding the status of their Vote by Mail ballot at "Where’s My Ballot?" or select "My Election Info" to track when the Registration & Elections Division received their voted ballot and if it was accepted.
